Organic Jasmine Four Seasons Oolong Tea (Spring 2018 Harvest)
We normally don't drink jasmine aromatized teas as we find that most are extremely overpowering or cheap tasting. Very low quality green tea is usually blended with jasmine in an attempt to mask the defects in the tea, (which is usually quite obvious). However, when we tasted this Si Ji Chun Cape Jasmine from Mingjian, we were amazed to find a perfect subtlety in the jasmine aroma. It slowly builds to an agreeable amount, never overpowering, never taking over the show. We find it to be well balanced with the thick jade oolong flavors from this four seasons' variety tea. The Si Ji Chun alone is fantastic, but paired with the jasmine makes for a tea worthy of showing off for friends and family. Our goal is to introduce this tea to those who have written off jasmine green, and show them there is a better way.
